Onyx is quartz crystals (silicon dioxide) fused together by nature into translucent layers of stone, revealing a rainbow of colors each ranging from creamy whites, golds and ambers to orange, reds, browns, deep greens and grays.
Onyx is a semi-precious form of chalcedony, which is the group name for a large family of stones. The color of onyx, as with other forms of chalcedony, is created through impurities which seep into the rock as it forms. Therefore, no two are ever alike—you have pet urn which is unique!!
Because this onyx pet urn is crafted from a natural material, the color intensity and veining patterns will vary from pet urn to pet urn and its unique beauty cannot be duplicated. The onyx pet urn you receive may vary in color---either lighter or darker---from the colors shown in the photograph here.
